Writer Don Smith has made his mark in the comic book industry in a journalistic way, first as a freelancer for Wizard Entertainment’s “ToyFare” magazine and Wizard Online; second, as the managing editor of CosmicBookNews.com, where he works as an interviewer and reviewer. His work has also appeared at the Supermanhomepage.com, TheGreenLanternCorps.com, “Weird NJ,” and “Mysteries Magazine.”

However, Don jumped to the “other side of the table” as a comic book writer for Bluewater Productions “Political Power” series (which has been featured on Fox News, ”Live with Regis and Kelly,” ”People Magazine,” G4, CNN, “Time” and “The New York Times”). His first comic with Bluewater, “Political Power: Ronald Reagan,” is scheduled for a December 2009 release.

Also for Bluewater, he has been working on an adaption of S.E. Hinton’s (“The Outsiders”) kids novel, “The Puppy Sister,” and a story was recently featured on MTV.com.

Smith’s short script, “Judgement on High” was featured in Robert Heske’s horror anthology “2012: Final Prayer.”

His comic book short story, “Bridge of Hope” was one of the first fiction stories for the online magazine, “Bring the Ink.”

When not working with comic books, he works as a freelance reporter and he has authored two history books, “Hawthorne” from Arcadia Publishingand his second book, “The Goffle Road Murders” is set for a 2010 release.
